When objects are uploaded from a modeling software, all parameters present in the object are stored in the default mapping table.
It is then very easy for the administrator to map the parameters to the dictionary properties afterwards.
The mapping is done in the same way as in the naming conventions. Click on the MAP button next to the parameter name.
A popin opens which allows to select the appropriate property (of the same type TEXT, INTEGER...) among the dictionary properties.
This new mapping will then be saved for the next uploaded objects.
When the default mapping table is filled in, it can be applied to existing objects
In the Content Manager, it is possible to apply it to a selection of objects
or individually by object
Once the default mapping has been applied, the newly mapped properties appear on the objects.
The preferences allow you to determine the behavior of the plugin.
When automatic upload mapping is enabled, users of the plugin will no longer have a mapping dialog when uploading objects. The default mapping will be applied every time.
On the other hand, if it is not activated, the mapping dialog will appear in the plugin but the changes made will only affect the current upload. The changes are not stored in the default mapping table because only an administrator can modify this table.
