BIM&CO's Civil 3D plugin allows you to access your Onfly library directly from your drawing. Depending on your rights, you will then be able to download content to your Civil 3D project or upload blocks, assemblies and subassemblies to the Onfly library.

Civil 3D ribbon

The Civil 3D ribbon of the new plugin is divided into 3 sections. Library, Library management and General.

• Library → This section brings together the tools that are used intensively on a day-to-day basis and is the section to which all roles have access. In this section you will find Search, Get changes and Object information tools.
• Library management → This section is intended for roles with creation rights (Administrators, Validators and Creators). In this section you will find Upload to library, Send changes and Display platform.
• General → Fast access to the plugin settings.

Installation

Once the download is complete, execute the MSI file to begin the installation and follow the steps provided.

• The new plugin is only compatible with Civil 3D 2024.3.

The first version where Assemblies/subassembiles where possible to Import/exports and then be used in Onfly is in the 2024 version. Before Subassemblies were using .dll and core Civil3D system that were preventing to re-import it.

• It is not compatible with the old AutoCAD plugin. So, the installer will automatically uninstall the old version of the plugin.
• If you want or need to use version 3.7.2.0, you can reinstall it for Revit and Rhinoceros only. </aside>

Recommendations about Antivirus

If your Antivirus software is detecting the BIM&CO StandAlone app as infected by a generic malware (like IDP.Generic in Avast), you should add an exception or add it to the trusted app list of your AV Software.

Recommendations about old versions uninstallation

Although the plugin is able to uninstall the old version of the plugin automatically, we strongly recommend uninstalling it manually to avoid possible inconveniences arising from the user's administration rights.

If you are already using one of the BIM&CO applications, follow these steps:

1. If you have previously installed the StandAlone application, close it. To do this, right-click on the StandAlone application in the Windows taskbar and then "Exit".

1. In the Windows application manager, search for the BIM&CO applications installed and uninstall them all.
