Messaging is above all a means of communicating very simply between all users of the platform. In addition, in order to collaborate even more efficiently, the messaging system allows messages to be sent automatically when important changes are made to classifications or properties.
The access to the Messages is done directly from the navigation bar.
By clicking on a conversation, it is displayed on the screen. It consists of three parts, on the left the list of conversations with team members, in the center the content of the selected conversation and on the right the profile of the selected member.
After clicking on the "New message" button, the messaging interface allows you to select a user from the list.
By default the last 10 users contacted are listed, but by typing the first letters you can find users of the platform that are not on this list.
The text must be entered in the lower part of the window, the "blue arrow" icon allowing to send the message.
Each time a new user is added to the platform, an automatic message is sent to all other users upon activation of their account, thus introducing the new user to the tool.
A content request follows a workflow that links several people, each of whom has a well-defined role. When a content request is made, different notifications are sent in the form of messages to the various parties involved, depending on the status and progress of the request. Each person has a well-defined role in this workflow.
When an administrator adds a property to a class, a message is sent to the other administrators to inform them of this modification.
Notifications are done through internal messages but also by email. To avoid being flooded with notifications, each user can change the settings for his own notifications.
Depending on the role of each user, different notifications can be received by a user. The notification settings interface takes into account the role and shows only the corresponding notifications.
