A Property Set is a group of properties meeting a specific need of an actor for a specific use. During a project of construction, each actor will express a need for various information to continue to carry out his activities. The source of this information is a specification, a calculation result, a regulatory requirement, etc. The sets and sub-sets described below allow you to quickly and simply display the properties needed for these activities.

List of property sets

The list of property sets is available in the Set management.

You will find the COBie property set (Construction Operation Building Information Exchange) **** by default in the available list. It comes as a standard to be used to enrich your objects. This set is a standard, it is not editable.

Create a property set

You can create your own set of properties in this list. To do this, click on the "Create a set" button at the top right of the page.

A property set is defined using a name, description and optional Sub-sets.

The set is composed necessarily by properties from the dictionary.

Sub-sets are tags that are added to the properties of a set in order to compose even more precise subgroups.

<aside> 👉 For example, if we create a set of properties "Construction phases" we can create sub-sets like "Drawings, Planning, Construction, Close-out". If we create a set made for "MEP", we can create sub-sets like "HVAC, Plumbing or Electricity".

The sub-sets are added by writing the desired text in the Sub-sets field. If it already exists, it will appear in the dropdown menu, otherwise click to create it. It will then be available to enrich the other properties you include in the set.

You can of course come back and modify or delete these sub-sets later.

Option menu

The Option menu (symbolized by the three small dots) at the end of the line allows you to edit the selected set, modify the details of the set and delete it.
