Batch Insertion in Revit
Now available in Onfly for all Revit users starting from version 4.7.
The new "Batch Download and Insert" feature allows you to:
- Select multiple types of content (families, line styles, schedule templates, etc.) directly from the search (collections, categories, filtered types, etc.)
- Switch searches without losing your current selection — it’s preserved until you download it
- Easily filter and select items using the "Select all" button and checkboxes
- Download your entire selection in one click and insert the content directly into your project browser
- Once loaded, families can also be instantly inserted again through the search during the project lifecycle
Key use cases
Project startup:
Load all required content at once (project collection, standard families…) so everything is available immediately in Revit and through search.
- Template & standard project setup: load all the necessary objects in one go (standardized collections by typology, location, or client) and streamline the onboarding of new projects with consistent deliverables from day one.
Library maintenance:
Apply changes locally on a batch of objects, then reupload all updates to Onfly in a single operation.
-
Local quality audit and review: download a filtered sample (e.g. all sinks in a collection, or all objects missing a specific parameter) for verification or quality control.
⇒ Perfect for BIM Managers who need to quickly audit a portion of the library.
